Hi Katja; nice to have a chat again! Let’s talk about weddings. As I understand it, when we talk about bratwurst stands for weddings, Bish Bash Bangers is a great choice for any couple to have as part of their special day?
Many people find that bratwurst stands for weddings are an attractive option when it comes to dressing their big event with special wedding catering services. Some of them have lived in Germany or know the culture well and would like to ‘replicate’ a bit of Germany within their beloved party. Others just like the taste of a good German sausage!
Yes, that’s right. Bish Bash Bangers has has the fortune of witnessing many weddings and we’re lucky to be part of such a special day! The fact is that ti is what makes us happy; we like to go to wedding events as we think it suits the brand more than selling our food food in the street or markets.
Let me be honest here; the markets are great and there are a lot of sophisticated food out there (and wonderful food!) but the bratwurst and currywurst are more popular where there is beer and the energy is more about a group gathering and having fun.
The street market is for passers by who want to enjoy the area or go shopping; our food is not so suitable for them as they usually would go for healthier options. In my mind when we go to lunch in our markets and we are next to all the other places it is not the most healthiest food either but we always kind of lose out. Everyone thinks that a ‘greasy sausage’ is not that healthy, but there is a lot of psychological beliefs in that thought. Our sausages are grilled and the meat is very good quality, but in peoples’ minds it is not the healthiest of options.
Private events, on the other hand, they know what they want, they love it and this is the place for us to be. If people are happy, we are happy and this is a beautiful atmosphere to work in.
Regarding the weddings, why do you think Bish Bash Bangers is a good option in particular?
Bish Bash Bangers adds fun and excitement and laughter to the garden party. For example, we bring the German music, we always joke around with the people, always making sure they have a laugh, and offer top service. We listen to the customer, we are very quick with recommendations (i see a customer and I’ll know what she/he will want) and this creates great relationships.
I have total trust in my food - I know it’s great and I know people will love it. And it shouldn’t be any other way.
How about setting up the bratwurst stand, how early would you have to be at the event?
Oh, it doesn’t take us long at all. Our gazebo tent is very easy to put together, but remember we also have our lovely Bibi (catering trailer pod), which also looks very cute in any garden or other area!
Could you tell me a little bit about your wedding menus?
We start with emails and find out what the customer is looking for. Once I have all this information I create a few menu options (between one and three).
I list everything that we offer so they can get creative and come up with their own ideas, mixing and matching as they please.
For example, someone might want to have marinated pork steak with potato salad and bread instead of bratwurst in a bun or a currywurst with chips. Or beef sausages and cheese sausages and have a mixed grill so they get to tastes the different German sausages we offer.
So, as you can see, there’s plenty to satisfy the most demanding customers.
What about desert?
We do offer this option also: the wonderful German cheesecake. We might bundle it up as part of a package or sell it separately, depending on what the needs for that particular wedding are.
You haven’t mentioned Brezels; can you also offer them to round up the German experience?
Indeed! We can bring fantastic German Brezels and create the atmosphere the person is looking for. I think that a lovely Brezel first with sweet mustard, followed by any of our dishes and rounded up by the German cheesecake is a wonderful addition to any garden party!
