Hello! Sure, I love it too. There's nothing like the quality of German food to be honest (see some popular choices here). I most definitely love it. German quality is well known for being so good and I definitely vouch for good quality hot dogs and sausages (for example, here's an article on German sausages that put other hot dogs to shame! 🙂 (By the way, tips here to hire a Bratwurst seller).
I've had a look on the internet typing "German sausage stall hire" and found a website that displays a company that have one of those amazing round grills. I didn't check how much they charge or if they are available for hire anywhere within the UK, but it did feel like the real German thing.
WEll, t's very German xmas market like that (what's it called? the hanging grill?). You obviously dn't have that in the take away places. I only see these in Xmas markets. Everywhere you go in Germany you have these fantastic hanging charcoal grills.
But don't you think that people wanting to hire the proper german grill stall would want something along those lines? Because at your stall you operate with gas.
What I'm offering is a different experience. I'm not a bulky German man who stands by the sausages and grills them to perfection. Nothing wrong with that, it's a wonderful thing to have at your party or event if that's the sort of thing you're looking for. It definitely gives you the sense of being in Germany at Xmas.
My business is of a different nature. I bring the Berlin street food to the UK with a touch of fun, trendiness, you could almost say you get the energy of someone who has been in the UK for quite a few years (so you're not bringing in a totally "foreign" experience) mixed with my background, which is, of course, 100% German.
So, you see, what you get is the perfect mix of the British street food stall designed in a funky and unusual way to bring in the perfect grilled German sausages in the Berlin style.
When you hire Bish Bash Bangers, you get more than just grilled sausages or a tasty currywurst. You dress a spot within your event with our cool pod and/or stall because the design adds a fun element that is extremely pleasing to the eye.
Whether it's me working on that day or one of my employees, you'll also see that we interact with the people we feed; we joke, we make them feel comfortable, we make sure they have everything they need and make suggestions with toppings etc so they don't miss on one thing. Yes, you're right, because the other ones, the ones with the big charcoal grills do come across as a little to 'party' based with the big jars of beer, etc etc
I don't think I could say that with these beer stalls because it's a separate stall within the Xmas market. It's a different thing altogether: the charcoal, the smell, the xmassy feeling you know.
The hot dogs and sausages BBB sells come from award winning butchers in Germany. Can you discuss the difference between catering this quality of ingredients vs sourcing cheaper products?
Sure. We make sure all our ingredients are the best quality around. We source from The Sausage Man, who get their hot dogs and sausages on a weekly basis from award winning butchers in Germany.
We Germans are VERY FUSSY when it comes to our hot dogs and sausages. We only want the best! Canned food is not always good, and I steer well away from tinned hot dogs and sausages. How about you... Would you consider acquiring one of those big round charcoal grills in the future? Is this something that you think might add to the Bish Bash Bangers' experience?
Yes, it's definitely something I'd like to have in the near future. It's fun, I personally thing that a charcoal grilled bratwurst is a charcoal grilled bratwurst. With oil is also a nice taste, but there's something nostalgic about the charcoal. I don't want to say it's better - it is simply different and I'd like to be able to offer that difference as well.
I personally think that what you offer is fantastic. I like the look, the feel, and having known you now for quite a few years I can say that to have you as part of any party of event is a pleasure (I mean this!)
