Popular German street food includes the currywurst, which is a chopped Bratwurst with currysauce on top.
At Bish Bash Bangers we make our own currysauce - Katja's recipe is to die for, and believe me, she tried hard before settling for one she thought was magical.
Talking about magic; we had a chat over the phone yesterday about our food and I said we need to create magic if we want to stand out. The point here [thb_highlight] is not to stand out [/thb_highlight], but to actually feel the magic inside every time we hand one of our dishes to a customer.
I want to know we're giving something they will delight them; something that creates a mental addiction because the thought of that dish lingers somewhere in your brain, bursting into an 'idea' at some point that nags you until you get it again.
I'm not sure if you know what I'm talking about... but I most definitely know that feeling.
There is a place in Old Compton Street called Pulcinella that makes an incredible Tiramisu.
Now, this Tiramisu is not the best in the world, but there's something magical about it that makes me want to go back every now and then.
This Tiramisu is different to the rest (by no means the best one in the world), but a place in my heart is cherishing this very desert at this very restaurant and THAT is what I want to create with Bish Bash Bangers.
